Who makes Kirkland Signature Soft & Chewy Granola Bars, 0.85 oz, 64-count?
As of October 5, 2026, evidence points to Leclerc Foods USA (Leclerc Group) as the manufacturer of Kirkland Signature Soft & Chewy Granola Bars, 0.85 oz, 64-count, but no tier 1–3 source names the link directly.
The common claim
What’s commonly claimed, and what the evidence supports
No single big-name guess dominates the results for Kirkland's soft & chewy granola bars; many answers note only that they are made in Canada. The documented trail is better: Costco's own catalog data names Leclerc Foods USA in the manufacturer field of this exact listing, and food-media reporting independently attributes Costco's Kirkland Signature Nut Bars (a companion snack-bar SKU) to the same Kingsport, Tennessee-based Leclerc Foods USA (part of Quebec's Leclerc Group). Evidence points to Leclerc Foods for the granola bars, though the corroborating press addresses the nut bars rather than this SKU.
Evidence & sources
Each source is graded on the six-tier evidence rubric, where tier 1 is strongest. Sources are archived, so a citation still works if the original page moves or goes behind a paywall.
Tier 4
Costco's own product data embedded in the listing names 'LECLERC FOODS USA INC' (item-level record) and 'LECLERC FOODS, LTD' (parent record) in its manufacturer field for this exact item (UPC 096619999514), with a catalog startDate of 2018-08. This is the same field Costco exposes publicly as a 'manufacturername' search facet, whose reliability cross-checks against the Bloomberg-confirmed diapers listing ('FIRST QUALITY CONSUMER PR') and the exec-confirmed batteries listing ('DURACELL DISTRIBUTING INC'). Graded probable, not confirmed: machine-readable catalog data naming a supplier of record, without independent press or regulatory corroboration for this specific granola-bar SKU.
Tier 6
Cross-reference to a companion SKU, not these granola bars: 'Kingsport, Tennessee-based Leclerc Foods USA manufactures the Kirkland Signature Nut Bars with Cocoa Drizzle & Sea Salt,' and Costco 'turned to' family-owned Leclerc Group (Quebec, founded 1905) in 2016. Establishes Leclerc Foods USA as Costco's snack-bar co-manufacturer (the same company Costco's own catalog data names for these granola bars), but the article addresses the Kirkland Nut Bars, so it is unsourced food-media (tier 6) counted as cross-reference only, not as evidence for this SKU.
