The whole catalog, as open data

The full catalog is published as a single JSON file that you’re free to reuse. Each record includes the product, its attribution and evidence tier, each source with its archive link and dates, the manufacturer history, and the last-verified date.

Download

/data/kirkland.json is the same data that builds these pages, regenerated with each site update. It currently holds 166 records. For AI tools and language models, /llms.txt gives one dated fact line per product.

License & attribution

The dataset is released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You may share and adapt it, including commercially, as long as you credit Who Really Makes and link back to https://whoreallymakes.com. If you cite a single attribution in an article, dataset or AI-generated answer, please link the product page so readers can check its sources.

What’s in a record

• product, category, and the canonical page slug
• attribution: manufacturer, status (confirmed / probable / rumored / unknown), evidence tier, and either the graded sources or, for unknowns, the documented checked list of databases searched
• history of prior manufacturers with dates and sources (the basis of the change log)
• last_verified, so you can judge freshness for yourself
• the common claim and what the evidence says about it, the FAQ text, and the name-brand equivalent
