An evidence-first answer to “who really makes it?”
Costco doesn’t publish who manufactures Kirkland Signature, so the internet is full of confident answers that are guesses, out of date, or copied from each other. This site takes the opposite approach: every attribution is graded against a six-tier evidence rubric, sourced, archived, and dated — and when the evidence isn’t there, the page says so.
What the site is
One question per product — who makes it? — answered at the strength the evidence supports. Confirmed makers are stated plainly with their source. Indirect proof gets “the evidence points to.” Rumor is shown but badged unverified. And where nothing reliable exists, we publish an honest unknown alongside the documented search we ran — a real answer, not a gap.
Why the change log matters
Suppliers switch quietly. Costco moved its diaper manufacturer in January 2025 and most sites still name the old maker. Every attribution here carries a last-verified date and a history, and every change lands in the change log and the RSS feed. Staleness is the failure mode of every other “who makes it” page; keeping the records fresh is the point of this one.
Independence & corrections
Independently operated; not affiliated with Costco or any manufacturer named here. If a name-brand-equivalent link is an affiliate link, it is marked rel="sponsored" — and that revenue never changes an attribution or its grade. The full dataset is open under CC BY 4.0 on the data page, so anyone can check the work. Substantiated corrections are noted in the change log — the policy is on the methodology page.
Trademark
Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Costco. “Kirkland Signature” is a trademark of Costco Wholesale Corporation, used here for identification only.
